Evidence-Based · Harm Reduction · Guiding You to Care

HRT Yakuten is a safety-baseline information site for transgender women in the Chinese-speaking community who use HRT. Our goal is not to replace doctors, but to help those who are already taking — or about to start — hormone therapy:

  • Understand your blood test results and know which abnormal values warrant a medical visit
  • Learn the real risks of medications, rather than relying on community hearsay and unverified anecdotes
  • Recognize emergency warning signs (DVT, liver damage, meningioma) and make the right call at critical moments
  • Find trans-friendly medical resources and transition from DIY to supervised medical care
  • ❌ Not an encyclopedia or medical textbook
  • ❌ Not a forum, community, or social platform
  • ❌ Not a drug purchasing channel or pharmacy recommendation site
  • ❌ Does not provide personalized dosing advice (“you should take X mg”)

All medical content on this site is based on the following international clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed literature:

SourceDescription
Endocrine Society 2017Endocrine Treatment of Gender-Dysphoric/Gender-Incongruent Persons — Clinical Practice Guideline
WPATH SOC 8 (2022)Standards of Care for the Health of Transgender and Gender Diverse People, Version 8
UCSF Transgender CareUniversity of California, San Francisco — Transgender Care Guidelines
EMA (2020)European Medicines Agency restrictions and safety assessment on CPA
PubMed / PMCPeer-reviewed original research papers (each citation includes a DOI)

The superscript numbers next to each medical recommendation (e.g. [1]) link to the specific reference. No citation = no content — this is an ironclad rule of this site.

Self-medication (DIY) carries real risks. This site aims to help you use medications more safely, but the safest approach is always to undergo HRT under the supervision of a doctor.
